CEASA Volunteers Ceremony

Hello CEASA Presidents

In 2017, CEASA is commencing a new event that strives to acknowledge volunteer service within your association and provide an opportunity for public celebration of their work.

Participating on an Association Committee/Board is one of the many ways that educators contribute service to our Community as volunteers.

CEASA would invite you to take a moment to reflect on this service and think about any current long serving members of your Committee/Board of your Association, and how important these people have been to the life and journey of your association.


We would like to invite you to nominate long serving current members (or very recently retired members – no greater than two years ago please) of your management committee/board to acknowledge their contribution to the running and management of your association.

You may even have to nominate yourself!

We want to recognise those who currently are OR very recently have been working in management for your association and have been doing so for at least 5+ years, or 10+ years, or 20+ years or even 30+ years.

For this ceremony, Minister Bettison, in her role as Minister for Volunteers, has been invited (not yet confirmed) who will take the opportunity to thank and acknowledge those people whom you nominate and to present them with a certificate of appreciation.

We estimate that from our 57 member associations there will upwards of 200 volunteers who deserve to be acknowledged.
